This gorgeous 100% GOTS certified organic cotton t-shirt features David Hockney's 1994 Design for Salts Diner Plate. It was sketched by David in pen on a plate for his friend Jonathan Silver who had asked the artist for a logo for his just-opened restaurant. The Diner Dog, as we call him, has been loved by generations of visitors to Salts Mill and customers of Salts Diner - this is the t-shirt worn by our front of house staff.

The t-shirt is produced by Salts Mill, for Salts Mill. It's screen printed in Leeds on a lovely quality base t-shirt from Stanley & Stella. It's made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton sourced from India. Stanley & Stella's supply chain is certified by various independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications demonstrate they are working towards building healthy environmental practices and greater respect for the planet. To ensure the safety of all their workers, they work very closely with the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). After an extensive social audit, they have been attributed ‘Leader’ status by FWF, certifying that they’re showing best practices in complex areas such as freedom of association. All their partner factories are equipped with state-of-the art Effluent Treatment Plants which remove toxic elements from the water and ensure it’s safe to be reused. They have also developed a recycling fabric waste project.
